POLYURETHANE VARNISH FOR CONCRETE AND MICROCEMENT is a two-component product based on water-based polyurethane resins, which creates a durable coating that is both mechanically and chemically resistant and provides effective protection against moisture and dirt. It does not turn yellow and is resistant to UV radiation, which guarantees long-lasting surface aesthetics. Its advantage is that it is easy to clean – even heavy dirt, including tire marks, is easily removed. The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It is ideal for protecting heavily used floor and wall surfaces, including microcement floors, resin and mineral floors, concrete and stone. It is especially recommended for protecting industrial floors with intensive use and exposed to high mechanical loads. It can also be used to protect surfaces coated with epoxy resins, polyurethane resins, cement coatings on floors and walls, as well as microcement and cement surfaces with different porosity. Its versatility allows it to be widely used in both residential and commercial spaces.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

› The surface to be painted must be sanded, degreased, clean and dry; It is absolutely necessary to remove all dirt, greasy stains, stains and efflorescence.

› Mechanically filled concrete and smooth, compact surfaces must be roughened to ensure proper adhesion of the coating.
› To reduce absorbency, prime the substrate with GRUNT primer.

› To ensure proper adhesion of the varnish, the dried surface must be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper and then cleaned before applying the next layer.

APPLICATION:

› Immediately before painting, add component B to component A, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Note: the finished varnish (mixed components A+B) must be used within 2 hours.
› Apply the first coat of varnish on the previously prepared surface with a varnish roller, carefully smoothing until an even layer is obtained, and wait for the coating to dry.
› The drying (hardening) time of the coating is approximately 8 hours and depends on the conditions at the place of application of the product (temperature and humidity).
› After the first coat has dried, apply the next coat of varnish in the same way.

Note: apply the next coat from the prepared new portion of varnish (component A+B).
› It is recommended to apply the third coat of varnish on surfaces that are particularly exposed to water and weather.

CONSUMPTION:

› Up to 12 m²/l per coat, depending on the type of substrate and the method of application.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

› Use personal protective equipment when mixing and applying the paint.
› Do not dilute both components A and B.
› Optimal conditions of use: temperature from +10°C to +30°C and relative humidity below 70%.
› Initial mechanical strength of the coating after 24 hours. Total mechanical and chemical strength of the coating after 7 days, until then do not clean the painted surface, protect it from water, dirt and mechanical damage.
› Mild detergents should be used to care for the painted surface. Do not use rough sponges.
› After painting, wash the tools with water and detergent.
› After mixing components A and B, the can may open violently. Do not store in a closed container.
