PUR ENAMEL is a high-quality, polyurethane-based two-component enamel designed for the protection and decoration of concrete, microcement and porous surfaces.
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, providing a durable finish with excellent adhesion, chemical and mechanical resistance, effectively protects surfaces from
moisture, stains and UV radiation, improving their aesthetic appeal, while ensuring long-term durability.
APPLICATION/PURPOSE:
• Concrete floors
• Anhydrite and epoxy concrete screeds
• Cement screeds, underlays and leveling compounds
• For new and renovated concrete surfaces
• For microcement surfaces
• For porous surfaces, e.g. unpolished stones, clinkers, bricks
Application examples:
• Utility rooms, garages and basements
• Industrial and public utility buildings
• Private buildings
• Commercial and warehouse premises
• Service workshops
• Traffic routes, stairs, halls and corridors
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
› The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, degreased and sanded with sandpaper, then cleaned of dust.
› Oily or resin-treated areas must be washed with gasoline.
› Untreated wood must be treated with moisture (humidity max. 15%) and primed with a suitable primer.
› When painting renovations, old, peeling coatings must be removed. Fill all cavities and cracks with a suitable mass and sand thoroughly with sandpaper after drying.
› To reduce absorption, the substrate must be primed with GRUNT primer.
› To achieve proper enamel adhesion, the dried surface must be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper before applying the next layer and then dusted.
APPLICATION:
› Immediately before painting, add component B to component A, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Note: use the finished enamel (mixed component A+B) within 2 hours.
› Apply the first coat of enamel to the previously prepared surface with a velour roller, carefully smoothing until an even layer is obtained, and wait until the coating dries.
› The drying (hardening) time of the coating is approximately 8 hours and depends on the conditions at the place of application of the product (temperature and humidity).
› After the first coat has dried, apply the second coat of enamel in the same way. Note: apply the second coat from the prepared new part of the enamel (component A+B).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
› Use personal protective equipment when mixing and applying the enamel.
› Do not dilute both component A and B.
› Optimal conditions of use: temperature from +10°C to +30°C and relative humidity below 70%.
› Initial mechanical strength of the coating after 24 hours. Total mechanical and chemical strength of the coating after 7 days, until then the painted surface must not be cleaned, protected from water, dirt and mechanical damage.
› Mild detergents should be used to care for the painted surface. Do not use rough sponges.
› Wash tools with water and detergent immediately after painting.
› After mixing components A and B, the can may open violently. Do not store in a closed container.
CONSUMPTION:
› Up to 12 m²/l, depending on the type of substrate and application method. Efficiency is indicated for one layer.
NUMBER OF LAYERS:
› 2 to 3 layers, depending on the type of substrate and the desired effect.
