YACHT VARNISH is a high-quality polyurethane single-component product, the formula of which is based on water-based acrylic resins. It perfectly combines protective and decorative properties, therefore it is ideal for varnishing various wooden surfaces and wooden materials, such as wooden yacht equipment, gazebos, fences, railings, window frames, cladding, furniture, etc.

YACHT VARNISH forms a durable coating that is resistant to wear and dirt, as well as protects the wood against biocorrosion and UV radiation. It effectively protects the wood against moisture, including salt water, which is especially important when using the product on yacht elements.

YACHT VARNISH is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. It can be used both for painting new surfaces and for restoring existing surfaces. It perfectly highlights the natural grain of the wood, giving the surface an aesthetic appearance. In addition, it can be used together with the tinted product WOOD STAIN as an additional finishing coat, providing even greater protection and durability.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
› The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, degreased and sanded with sandpaper, then cleaned of dust.
› Wash off greasy or resinous areas with extraction gasoline.
› Untreated wood must be weathered (moisture max. 15%) and primed with a suitable primer.
› In the case of restoration painting, remove old, peeling coatings to clean wood, fill all cavities and cracks with a suitable filler and sand thoroughly with sandpaper after drying.
› To ensure proper adhesion of the varnish, the surface must be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper and then cleaned of dust before applying the next coat.

USE:
› Stir the product thoroughly immediately before painting. Do not dilute.
› Apply the first coat of varnish to a previously prepared surface with a brush or roller, carefully smoothing in the direction of the wood grain until an even coat is obtained, and wait until the coating dries.
› The drying time of the coating is approximately 2 hours and depends on the conditions of the product application site (temperature and humidity).
› Before applying the next coat, if the wood fibers lift, the coating should be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper and thoroughly cleaned of dust.
› It is recommended to apply the third coat of varnish to surfaces that are particularly exposed to water and weather.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
› The product is not recommended for use on wood species with a high tannin content, such as oak and exotic woods.
› Optimal application conditions: temperature from +10°C to +30°C and relative humidity below 70%.
› Initial surface protection after 24 hours. The coating is fully resistant after 7 days; do not clean the painted surface until then, protect it from water, dirt and mechanical damage.
› Use mild detergents to care for the painted surface. Do not use rough sponges.
› Wash tools with water and detergent immediately after painting.

CONSUMPTION:
› Up to 15 m2/l depending on the application method, especially the type and species of wood to be painted. Consumption is indicated for one coat.

NUMBER OF COATS:
› 2 to 3 coats depending on the type of substrate and the desired effect.

SHELF LIFE:
› 60 months from the date of production. After opening, use within 6 months.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE:
› Store and transport in hermetically sealed original packaging at temperatures from +5°C to +40°C. Protect from frost.

› VOC content limit value (cat. A/e/WB): 130 g/l. The product contains max. 130 g/l.
