ANTI-SLIP VARNISH FOR WOODEN FLOORS AND STAIRS is an advanced, single-component product based on water-based acrylic-polyurethane resins, free of isocyanates, for the protection and decoration of wooden surfaces. Its non-slip properties reduce the risk of slipping, making it ideal for use on stairs and other heavily used wooden surfaces. The varnish coating is resistant to abrasion, dirt and moisture, which ensures long-term protection of the wood. Resistance to yellowing and UV radiation ensures durability and aesthetic appearance for a long time. Ideal for floors, parquet, stairs and other wooden surfaces. Additional benefits associated with slip protection include increased safety for users, especially in areas exposed to moisture, such as kitchens, bathrooms or terraces. It can be used both for painting new surfaces and for renovating existing surfaces. In addition, it can be used on tinted varnish as an additional finishing layer, providing even greater durability and anti-slip protection.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

› The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, degreased and matt with sandpaper, and then cleaned of dust.

› Wash greasy or resin-treated areas with extraction benzine or organic solvent.

› Untreated wood (moisture max. 15%) and must be primed with a suitable primer.

› During renovation painting, remove old, peeling coatings down to the untreated wood, fill all cavities and cracks with a suitable filler and sand thoroughly with sandpaper after drying.

› To ensure proper adhesion of the varnish, the surface must be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper and then dusted.

APPLICATION:

› Stir the product thoroughly immediately before painting. Do not dilute.

› Apply the first coat of varnish to the previously prepared surface with a brush or roller, carefully smoothing it in the direction of the wood fibers until an even layer is obtained, and wait for the coating to dry.

› The drying time of the coating is approximately 2 hours and depends on the conditions at the place of application of the product (temperature and humidity).

› Before applying the next coat, if the wood fibers lift, the coating should be sanded with fine-grained sandpaper and thoroughly cleaned of dust.

› It is recommended to apply the third coat of varnish on surfaces that are particularly exposed to water and weather.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

› The product is not recommended for painting wood species with a high tannin content, such as oak and exotic woods.

› Optimal conditions of use: temperature from +10°C to +30°C and relative humidity below 70%.

› Initial surface protection after 24 hours. The coating is fully resistant after 7 days, until then the painted surface must not be cleaned, protected from water, dirt and mechanical damage.

› Mild detergents should be used to care for the painted surface. Do not use rough sponges.

› Wash tools with water and detergent immediately after painting.

CONSUMPTION:

› Up to 12 m²/l per coat, depending on the application method and in particular on the type and properties of the painted wood.

NUMBER OF LAYERS:

› 2 to 3 coats, depending on the type of substrate and the desired effect.
