Epoxy primer

Two-component anti-corrosion and wear-resistant epoxy primer for applying a thick layer on metal surfaces.

Type of material: two-component epoxy primer. Does not contain lead compounds.

Packaging: metal bucket 25 kg component A + 2.5 kg component B.

A two-component, low-VOC epoxy primer containing the anti-corrosion pigment zinc phosphate and a layered aggregate that provides a barrier and anti-corrosion effect. This allows you to obtain a coating with a large dry film thickness with a minimum number of technical steps. The fully formed wear-resistant coating has high adhesion, hardness and mechanical strength. Creates a phase phosphate-iron complex on the metal surface in the form of a passive layer, which leads to inhibition of corrosion processes.

Fields of application:

protection of bridges, hydrotechnical structures, tunnels, protection of the outer surface of oil, oil products, gasoline, technical gas storage and transportation containers; coating of ships above the waterline, decks and stabilizing tanks; as anti-corrosion and static protection for pipelines, utilities, tanks located underground.

Application

Epoxy primer is applied with a brush, roller, pneumatic or airless spraying method, on a dry, clean and thoroughly degreased surface. The recommended number of layers is 1 with a dry film thickness of at least 100 μm. The next layer of paint should be applied no later than 8 hours after the previous one. Before use, it is necessary to mix component A and component B in one container in a ratio of 10:1 by weight, mix thoroughly for 3-5 minutes until homogeneous and wait 15-20 minutes for the components to react before use.

If necessary, a proprietary epoxy solvent can be used to thin up to 20% by weight of the paint. This solvent can be used to clean the tool after work.
