Many of us in the context of apartment or house renovation are faced with the choice of colors for the walls, ceilings or other surfaces. Choosing a color tone raises the question of paint tinting.

This requires a tinting paste – a high concentration of pigment preparation, added to the paint or varnish to get the shade of color you want.

Here’s how to tint paint at home for optimal results.

To get a steady color tone of paint, you need to follow a few rules:

1. Shake well before opening the tinting paste package.

2. Take a small amount of tinting paste, depending on the saturation of your chosen color. Instructions for dosing paste can be found on the box.

To determine the amount of tinting paste you need, you can do the following: if 100 ml of paint need 5 drops of paste, then if you will need 1 liter of paint, 20% less drops of paste instead of 50 drops only 40 drops.

3. Add a few drops of paste in a small amount of paint and mix well.
