It is worth knowing what are the colors that should not be chosen, because they simply do not correspond to the wall paint and will not create the desired effect.
Too much red
Red is not on the list of things that should be avoided altogether, but you should not get too caught up in the area. Designers say that red color in exaggerated quantities will create a feeling of depression over time, and it will soon get tired. It is best to use paint in accessories, textures and furniture, but leave the walls in a different shade. If, however, the desire for red does not disappear, then it is better to use it only for one wall section, and certainly not on all walls.
Dark brown
It is not for nothing that there are very few interiors in which the color of the wall is dominated by this color, because it is simply not the most attractive. Dark brown is also too dark and will create a very gloomy and depressing atmosphere, so lovers of brown can use it in furniture and other elements, but certainly not as a wall paint.
Pale yellow
Yellow is a topical choice, but there are many shades of this color, and those that are not the most suitable for wall painting are old-fashioned yellow or faded, because they simply look dirty. Unattractive yellowing can have an age effect that can eventually be a defect, and walls painted in this way can look dirty, so be careful when choosing a yellow color.
Beige shades
Beige is almost the most popular choice for wall paints, but there are also more successful and less grateful samples in this color palette, which can look very different depending on the lighting. For example, different shades in lighter light may resemble body color, but in a darker room – similar to peach tone. In one home it will be ideal, in another, it will look dirty tone, so it is important to find out from specialists what tone will be more appropriate in the respective lighting.
Childish pink
Not only in the children’s rooms, but also in the living room, bedroom and even the kitchen, people like to introduce this color, but in this abundance of shades, it is necessary to decide in favor of shades of pink, which do not create childish associations. There are successful shades, and there are those that will look like from the nursery painting leftovers, so the choice of pink color should be carefully considered, maybe even better to avoid it, the designers recommend.
Haki
As with brown paint, khaki or dark green is not the most suitable for wall paints, as it can create an overly gloomy environment, instead a lighter shade of green is recommended. In addition, such painting on the walls will cause confusion – are the walls brown, black, gray or green? Colors that are too saturated can change depending on the light, so it’s best to choose something more specific.
Dirty white
An enduring classic in interiors is white, but you can also make mistakes in this choice. If it seems that a little yellowish-white color will be more tasteful and not so sterile, then the opposite effect can be achieved, because the “dirty” white color will not look good in any performance. Either pure white or another shade – the golden rule of designers.
