Using a deep penetration primer in renovation work.

It’s no secret that a good repair is a combination of the professionalism of the work and the quality of the materials used. Almost always, professionals use a primer before painting.

GOLexpert deep penetration primer is a universal tool for wall decoration, which is used in repair work. There are several reasons why this tool is indispensable repair aid.

• Deep penetration primer strengthens the treated surface, increases the service life of the material

• Increases adhesion (adhesion) to the facing material (paint, decorative plaster, etc.)

• Reduces paint consumption

• Prevents the growth of fungi, microorganisms

• Versatile in use: suitable for processing materials such as concrete, wood, brick, wallpaper, gypsum, fiberboard, chipboard, plaster, and other

• Suitable for treating old surfaces

When looking for the right primer, we recommend that you buy materials from the same manufacturer as the paint you will be using as your topcoat. Why? This is because such products are more “compatible” with each other.

The combination of products from one manufacturer will provide a better repair result. Also, it is important to consider the degree of porosity, the ability to absorb moisture of the treated surface.

Loose, very porous materials “take” a lot of the composition and therefore the consumption of the primer increases. If you want to calculate the amount of material you need, multiply the primer consumption (indicated on the package) by the area to be treated.

Before applying the composition, it is necessary to clean the surface from dust and dirt, rust. Next, the surface should be leveled, if necessary, grind, degrease. After applying a layer of primer, let it dry for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, you can start tiling the surface. Work should be carried out at a temperature of at least + 5 ° C.

Preparatory work, as a rule, takes about 70% of the time, and the painting itself is about 30%. Therefore, surface preparation is the basis of a high-quality result, where acrylic primer plays an important role. The use of good materials, adherence to technical requirements in the work, the professionalism of the master – these are the “three pillars” of your successful repair!
