POLYURETHANE ANTI-SLIP VARNISH FOR CONCRETE AND MICROCEMENT 2K is a two-component, water-based polyurethane varnish designed for the protection and decoration of concrete surfaces. It provides excellent adhesion, durability and resistance to mechanical damage, chemicals, moisture, dirt and UV radiation. The coating is easy to clean, and heavy dirt, such as tire marks, can be easily removed. The anti-slip coating reduces the risk of slipping, making it ideal for areas with heavy traffic and high humidity, both indoors and outdoors. The varnish can be used on: Concrete, Microcement, Stone, Resin and mineral floors, Epoxy and polyurethane surfaces. Ideal for: Bathrooms, Kitchens, Stairs, Corridors, Terraces, Garages, Pool edges
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The surface to be varnished must be degreased, cleaned and dried; all dirt, grease stains, deposits and efflorescence must be carefully removed.
Mechanically trowelled concrete and smooth, compact surfaces must be roughened to ensure proper adhesion of the coating.
To reduce absorbency, prime the surface with a primer.
To ensure proper adhesion of the varnish, sand the dried surface with fine-grained sandpaper and then remove dust before applying the next layer.
APPLICATION METHOD:
Immediately before varnishing, add component B to component A and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
Apply the first coat of varnish to the prepared surface using a varnish roller, smoothing it evenly until a homogeneous layer is obtained and wait for the coating to dry.
The drying (hardening) time of the coating is approximately 8 hours, depending on the conditions at the application site (temperature and humidity).
After the first coat has dried, apply the next coat of varnish in the same way.
The third coat of varnish is recommended for surfaces that are particularly exposed to water and weather.
CONSUMPTION:
› Up to 12 m²/l per coat, depending on the type of substrate and method of application.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
› Use personal protective equipment when mixing and applying the paint.
› Do not dilute both component A and B.
› Optimal conditions of use: temperature from +10°C to +30°C and relative humidity below 70%.
› Initial mechanical strength of the coating after 24 hours. Total mechanical and chemical strength of the coating after 7 days, until then do not clean the painted surface, protect it from water, dirt and mechanical damage.
› Mild detergents should be used to care for the painted surface. Do not use rough sponges.
› After painting, wash the tools with water and detergent.
› After mixing components A and B, the can may open violently. Do not store in a closed container.
